The long-lost cassette tape with the infamous Alien Tab coco-puffs rehearsal jam and improv session has finally been found and transferred to digital, complete with the appropriate tape warble and time distortion. Recorded on a minus 35 degree night in the winter of 1995, in northern British Columbia, by four high school dopers on a super-woofer cassette deck, this spontaneous and totally unprepared journey into garage/stoner/doom metal from the '90s is now available from Bud Metal Records. This is the second part of the jam session featuring the classic Alien Tab lineup of Hafner, Mytron, and Langerud, with guest vocalist Matt Tremain putting down the mic and taking over on cassette deck engineer duties. Digital release only. Part two of two.
Note: The only other surviving Alien Tab rehearsal recording from 1996 will be released in the coming months. It is marginally more rehearsed, but just as frozen and stoned. No fake stoner metal!!

Alien Tab Fort Saint John, British Columbia

Alien Tab was a stoner metal band in BC from 1995-97, and returned in 2016. Heavily influenced by weed, Slayer, Kyuss, and extraterrestrials, Alien Tab's loose jam sessions are a trip into stoned doom metal with some death and thrash influences, but mostly just frozen psychedelic drug-induced meanderings.
